What is Gamma Oryzanol Powder?

The name "Oryzanol" comes from plants in the rice genus, originally discovered in rice bran oil, hence the name "Oryzanol". Initially, gamma oryzanol was considered a single compound, but its molecular structure was later identified as a mixture of plant sterol ferulic acid esters, consisting of ferulic acid esters and plant sterols (sterols and triterpenols). Its appearance is white to almost white crystalline powder, odorless, with a unique aroma. It is soluble in various oils and fats when heated, but insoluble in water.

The gamma oryzanol mainly exists in the hairy bran oil and its oil foot, the content of gamma oryzanol in the rice bran layer is 0.3～0.5%. The rice bran in the heating pressing when the gamma oryzanol dissolves in the oil, the general gross bran oil in the oryzanol content is about 2% ~ 3%.
