    Agricultural grade polyglutamic acid is generally low molecular weight polyglutamic acid with molecular weight ≤ 10000 Da and content ≥ 25%. Agricultural grade γ-polyglutamic acid has a large number of hydrogen bonds between the chains, so it has good solubility. A large number of peptide bonds exist in the main chain of this polyglutamic acid, which can be degraded into non-toxic short peptides and amino acid monomers, so it has excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability. Agricultural grade polyglutamic acid powder also has good water retention, because it has a large number of free carboxyl groups on the main chain, so it has strong water absorption and moisture retention.
