Antibacterial and Antioxidant
Cheng Zhen et al. conducted bacteriostatic tests on different extracts of hemp leaf nettle seeds, and the results showed that the ethyl acetate part and petroleum ether part of hemp leaf nettle seeds had bacteriostatic activity, and initially identified the bacteriostatic active components as phenolic compounds, tannin compounds, organic acids, coumarins, and endocannabinoid components. Zhao Fang et al. studied the scavenging effects of hemp leaf nettle polyphenols on O2--, -OH, and H2O2, and the results showed that hemp leaf nettle polyphenols have a strong scavenging ability of free radicals, and are an effective exogenous natural antioxidant.
