What is Bilberry Fruit Extract?
Bilberry fruit extract is made from the fresh frozen fruit of Vaccinium myrtillus L., a plant of the Rhododendron family, which is extracted, resin refined, and then dried (process: Vaccinium myrtillus fruit→water or ethanol extraction→resin refined→drying→product). The main active ingredient of European bilberry is anthocyanin, which is one of the fruits with the richest content of anthocyanin, containing 0.3-0.7% anthocyanin in fresh fruits, and the content increases with the ripening of fruits.
The raw material of Bilberry Fruit Extract supplied by Green Spring Technology is selected from high-quality Bilberry fruit, the extraction process is excellently designed and the extract is not easy to oxidize. Its solvent residues, heavy metals, plasticizers, and pesticide residues are in line with European standards.

Looking for a Quotation?Benefits:
Eye Care
Bilberry fruit extract has shown a markedly helpful effect on the eye, presumably by improving the ability of oxygen and blood to be transported to the eye. The source of many eye diseases, including cataract formation and macular degeneration, ultimately comes down to free radical damage to the eye. Bilberry extract acts as a powerful antioxidant to protect the eyes from free radical damage. It may likewise play an important role in the prevention and treatment of glaucoma due to its action on the collagenous structure of the eye.
Immune Enhancement
Bilberry fruit extract is rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C is an important antioxidant as well as a vital nutrient for the immune system. It enhances the functioning of the immune system and improves the body's ability to fight diseases and infections.
Applications:
For Health Products:
Bilberry fruit extract is rich in anthocyanins. Over 15 different anthocyanins are found in bilberry. Anthocyanins may help maintain capillary integrity and stabilize collagen. Anthocyanins are also powerful antioxidants. Numerous clinical studies have shown bilberry to be effective in treating circulatory complaints, varicose veins, and other venous and arterial complaints.
In the Food Field:
The U.S. FDA has classified bilberry fruit extract as a food additive that does not require certification and is permitted for use in beverages, dairy products, and confections, primarily for the protection of eye sight.
In Pharmaceutical:
The high content of European bilberry fruit extract is also widely used in medicine, mainly for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and apoptosis-inducing effects on cancer cells.
