What is Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder?
Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder, also known as (copper tripeptide-1), is a compound formed from copper ions and tripeptide-1. Copper Peptide GHK Cu is a peptide molecule consisting of three amino acids in the sequence glycyl-histidyl-lysine, with the chemical formula C14H24CuN604, and is a biologically important compound.
Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder was originally isolated from human plasma in 1973 and was found to have wound-repair properties in 1985. In 1999 researchers suggested that GHK and its copper complex could act as an activator of tissue remodelling. It is also a signal peptide that promotes the degradation of large collagen aggregates on the outside of scars. Normal collagen synthesis, elastin, proteoglycan, and glucosaminoglycan production in the skin. Growth rate and migration of different cell types, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant response.
Copper Peptide GHK Cu can promote cellular repair, enhance skin absorption, protect against oxidation, deeply awaken the skin, and improve skin cell vitality. Its main ingredient is a protein made up of amino acids, which contain copper ions, tripeptide-1 copper, and other ingredients. They are very effective tissue-protecting ingredients and can eliminate inflammation.

Accelerated Wound Healing
The in vivo effect of Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder was first observed as accelerated wound healing in various animal models, tested using rats. Whole wounds of 6 mm in diameter were created within an ischaemic bicuspid flap on the back of each rat. The rats were divided into 3 groups: topical TCC (blue copper peptide), topical TCC carrier (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), and no treatment (control).
The wound area was measured daily for 13 days, showing that all wounds in the TCC group were significantly smaller than those in the control group from the third day onwards. On day 13, photographs of double-tip flaps of six open wounds on the backs of rats in the control (top), carrier (middle), and TCC (bottom) groups were compared. It can be seen that the rats in the TCC group had faster wound healing and the control rats had delayed healing. The results suggest that topical blue copper peptide treatment accelerates the healing of ischaemic open wounds.
Promotes Collagen and Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) Synthesis
Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder was shown to play a physiological role in wound healing and tissue repair by stimulating collagen and glycosaminoglycans in fibroblasts. Biochemical analyses were performed on rats injected with 2.0 mg of blue copper peptide (GHK-Cu) or phosphate buffered saline control. Hydroxyproline and glucuronic acid were used as indicators of collagen and GAG content, respectively.
The results showed that throughout the experiment, injection of GHK-Cu significantly increased collagen content on days 18 and 22 compared to the control (396% and 538% compared to the control, p<0.05).GAG accumulation was significantly higher than that of the control on days 12, 18, and 22 (191%, 180%, and 179% of the corresponding control, respectively, p<0.05). The results showed that copper peptide (GHK-Cu) powder increased the synthesis of collagen and glycosaminoglycans in the skin.
Skin Tightening
Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder doesn't just increase collagen, it helps the skin tighten its barrier and increase its collagen and elastin density. Ultrasound scans were taken of the skin of a woman (59 years old) before treatment, followed by ultrasound scans of the same skin after a month's treatment with a cream containing GHK Cu Powder. The white and yellow areas are reflections of ultrasound from areas of the skin that are denser due to tighter cell binding and increased amounts of collagen and elastin.
Applications:
In Cosmetics:
GHK Cu Powder has a long history of use in skincare and has attracted the attention of skincare brands due to its safety and harmlessness, as well as its documented tissue repair and remodeling, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Clinical studies have proven Copper Peptide's powerful wrinkle-reducing and restorative properties, working in both the epidermis and dermis to increase skin thickness by stimulating collagen synthesis, dramatically smoothing the skin, and increasing skin elasticity. Currently, Copper Peptide GHK Cu Powder is used in three of the most widespread areas of cosmetic products: anti-wrinkle, repair and anti-aging.
