Chamomile Extract Apigenin is the active ingredient Apigenin obtained by CO2 extraction from the dried whole herb of Chamomile, family Asteraceae. Chamomile Extract's good skincare effect is due to its rich flavonoids, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, can regulate the skin's water-oil balance, accelerate the healing of acne, and also slow down the skin's aging.

    Benefits:

    Soothing and Anti-Inflammatory

In in vitro experiments, apigenin chamomile extract interfered with leukocyte adhesion and up-regulated its adhesion proteins in human endothelial cells, and possessed the ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins induced by interleukin-1 (IL-1), tumor necrosis factor-induced production of IL-6 and IL-8, and lipopolysaccharide-induced production of IL-6. In addition, red myrcene glycol in chamomile can reduce the release of leukotriene LTB4 and interleukin IL-1α induced by PMA, thus reducing the chemical-induced paw edema in rats, the erythema induced by ultraviolet rays in guinea pigs, and the irritation of NaOH and SDS on the human skin, thus preventing and inhibiting inflammation, but it has no inhibitory effect on the prostaglandin PGE2.

    Anti-aging

Chamomile extract is rich in anti-inflammatory components such as the synergistic action of motherwort asparagus hydrocarbon and alpha-myrcenol. Bringing a powerful anti-inflammatory effect and antihistamine, these ingredients can soothe the skin inflammatory reaction, reduce skin redness and itching pain, and promote wound healing.

    Antispasmodic and Sedative

The aqueous extract, essential oil and α-erythromycetinol of chamomile were found to have a protective effect on the gastrointestinal tract and were effective in relaxing the gastrointestinal tract in twins. The aqueous extracts of chamomile (100, 200, and 400 mg-kg-1 ) all significantly reduced ethanol-induced gastric injury in rats. α-Red myrcenol, α-Red myrcenol oxides A and B inhibited chlorotonin-induced spasms, and α-Red myrcenol prevented the development of gastric ulcers induced by heh-flavored myrcenol, stress, or alcohol. Chamomile essential oil is considered to have a good sedative effect.

Animal studies have shown that inhalation of chamomile essential oil reduces the stress associated with elevated levels of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), and co-administration of the essential oil with Dictyostelium can reduce ACTH levels, possibly due to the active ingredient binding to the Dictyostelium and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors. Further clinical trials have found that chamomile injection has a relaxing effect on the autonomic nervous system, including slowing the heart rate reducing depression, and increasing skin temperature. In addition, chamomile extract can play a neuroprotective role by modulating cholinergic activity and promoting antioxidant activity in the rat hippocampus. Chamomile tea improves sleep and depressive symptoms in postpartum women, with a faster onset of action than traditional anti-anxiety medications and fewer adverse effects.

    Antioxidant

Chamomile extract is rich in a variety of antioxidant components, such as flavonoids, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These ingredients can neutralize free radicals, reduce the damage to the skin caused by oxidative stress, and protect the skin from environmental pollution and UV radiation, thus slowing down the skin aging process.

    Applications:
