What is Icariin Powder?
Epimedium Extract is a product processed from the dried stems and leaves of Epimediumbrevicornum and other Epimedium species. The main active ingredients are flavonoids, including Epimedium glycoside, Epimedium hypoglycoside, Epimedium grandiflorum glycoside C, and Epimedium asiaticum glycoside A, B, C, and so on. It has an androgen-like effect and is used to improve body immunity and lower blood pressure. It has an obvious inhibitory effect on the infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus and poliovirus. It also has the effect of suppressing cough, expectorant, and asthma. Epimedium extract is mainly used as a raw material for health products to improve sexual function.
Icariin is one of the main active ingredients of Epimedium extract, which is 8-isopentenyl flavonoid glycosides.
